01 · Accessibility remediation
A PDF remediation engine for document backlogs
Agencies and schools have thousands of untagged PDFs. Fixing each one by hand in Acrobat doesn't scale, and tools that claim to fix them often pass files a screen-reader user still can't read. We built an engine that validates, tags, repairs, and re-validates, and knows when to hand a file to a person.
- Repairs existing tags instead of rebuilding, so good structure survives.
- Returns the original, flagged, if the output ever validates worse.
- Checks that a screen reader actually receives text, not just that the validator passes.
02 · Technical web application
A free website accessibility scanner
Most organizations can't tell how accessible their site is without paying for an audit first. We built a scanner that loads a page in a real browser, ranks issues by impact, and says plainly that a scan is a starting point, not a conformance claim.
- axe-core in headless Chromium, on the rendered page.
- Interacts with the page to test content that appears on hover or focus.
- Rate-limited, and blocks requests to private networks.
