Access Graph Protocol (AGP) is an Auto-Flow R&D project. It's experimental, open source, and separate from our client services.
What it is
AGP is an experimental interoperability layer. It describes accessibility, state, available actions, and interaction requirements in a machine-readable format that can work across digital and physical systems: a web page, an app, a kiosk, a smart device.
The idea: a product describes what it is and what a person can do with it. Assistive technology then decides how to present that to the individual, whether by speech, switch, large text, or something else.
AGP doesn't replace ARIA, operating-system accessibility APIs, or device standards. It explores whether they can be bridged.
Status
- Draft version 0.1. Experimental.
- Not a recognized standard, and not adopted by any standards body or vendor.
- Apache 2.0 licensed and developed in the open.
